Why start here

Most business advice starts with the plan.

Pick a niche. Choose an offer. Make a schedule.

If you've tried that and it didn't stick, it's probably because the plan was built before anyone looked at you.

The Thread starts with you. We're not trying to find your perfect business idea. We're trying to find the clue underneath all the ideas.

What you'll work through

Four parts. No right answers.

01

How your brain works

What happens when something grabs your attention, when something is boring, when there's too much to do, and when you have to decide.

02

Your natural strengths

What people come to you for, the problems you notice that others miss, what you could talk about for hours, and what you keep starting.

03

Your life matters too

The experiences that changed how you see things, and what you want your business to give you.

04

Your natural way of working

When you're at your best, and what you'd explore if you knew you couldn't fail.

Just the ones that make you think: "Oh God. That's me."

What you'll leave with

A clue, not a commitment.

  • Your Thread. The pattern running through your ideas, strengths, experience and interests, in one place.
  • A first sentence. "I want to use my ability to ___ to help ___ with ___ in a way that gives me more ___." Not your niche. Not a commitment. A clue.
  • Your business pattern. Explorer, Firestarter, Deep Diver, Overloader, Connector or Firefighter. Not another box to put yourself in: a picture of the conditions you do your best work in.
  • A copy of everything you wrote, by email or as a PDF.
  • A clear next step, and permission not to build anything yet.

You might come in thinking: "I have too many ideas."
And leave thinking: "Oh. I can actually see where this could go."

How it works

Built for the way you actually work.

Skip around.

There's no correct order. Start with whichever question pulls you in.

Take your time.

It runs deeper than a quick quiz, and that's on purpose. You don't have to finish it in one go.

Your answers save as you go.

In your browser. If you'd like a link back or a copy, leave your email. It's optional.

Is it for you?

Start here if this sounds familiar.

  • You have too many ideas and can't see what connects them.
  • You have one idea you keep not starting.
  • You know you're capable of more but can't work out what "more" is.
  • You've built something that doesn't fit any more, and want to understand why.

Skip ahead if you already know exactly what you're building and need to design how it works. That's The Architecture.

Questions

Before you start.

Is it really free?

Yes. No card, no catch. Leaving your email is optional.

Is this an ADHD assessment?

No. It's not clinical and it doesn't diagnose anything. It's a business workbook, written for the way many women with ADHD think and work.

What if I already know what I want to build?

It'll still show you how you work best, which is often what's missing between knowing what to do and doing it. If you're clear on both, go straight to The Architecture.

What happens after?

A Thread isn't a business yet. Next comes working out who it's for, what problem you could solve and what you could offer. That's The Direction ($27). There's no rush.

Ready when you are.

It's free, and you can go at your own pace.

Let's find your thread.

You don't need a map of the whole ocean. You just need to know where you're going next.

Your ideas don't have to make sense all at once.

Your business doesn't have to look like anyone else's.

And you don't have to force yourself into a way of working that was never designed for you.

Find your thread. Choose your direction. Build your blueprint. Make it real.
